U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Austin Bertollini, a section leader attached to Bravo Company, Battalion Landing Team 1/5, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, a native of Syracuse, New York, dons protective googles aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) in the Pacific Ocean before departing for an amphibious raid, Dec. 15, 2023. Marines used simulation rounds during the training that required the wear of protective masks and equipment.
