Maj. Gen. David W. Maxwell, Commander, Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM), provides remarks as the guest of honor at Defense Logistics Agency's 248th Marine Corps Birthday Cake-Cutting Ceremony. The ceremony recognized the enduring legacy of Marines throughout our nation's history and the importance of the Corps' most valuable asset, the individual Marine, in continuing the traditions of those who came before. MCICOM exercises command and control of Marine Corps installations via regional commanders in order to provide oversight, direction and coordination of installation services and to optimize support to the Operating Forces, tenants and activities.
