Two armed soldiers in desert camouflage uniforms and wide-brimmed hats are seated in an arid, rocky landscape. The soldier on the right appears to be speaking or briefing, with hands gesturing, while the soldier on the left holds a rifle. The setting and uniforms suggest an African desert military context.

Djiboutian army soldiers discuss a plan to ambush the opposition force while on a patrol during a culmination exercise instructed by Army Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 249th Infantry, Delta Company, 3rd Platoon, Guam National Guard, Guam, March 6, at Forward Operating Location Ali Sabieh, Djibouti, as part of the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa mission. The Soldiers from the Guam National Guard trained 127 Djiboutian soldiers anti-terrorism and counter terrorism tactics during a 10-week course covering 27 different areas of offensive and defensive operations to better secure their borders against the threat of terrorist in phases three and four of Operation Able Dart 08-01.
