U.S. Army Paratrooper, assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa, drags a sled during the Mogadishu Mile in honor of the fallen Soldiers of the Battle of Mogadishu at Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy on Oct. 03, 2023. The event included a circuit of deadlifts, sled drags and a mile run. The Mogadishu Mile honors the final stretch of the battle, when a group of Rangers and Delta Force operators had to run on foot out of the city, using armored personnel carriers as cover because the vehicles were full.
