U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa, run the Mogadishu Mile in honor of the fallen Soldiers of the Battle of Mogadishu at Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy on Oct. 03, 2023. The event included a circuit of deadlifts, sled drags and a mile run. The Mogadishu Mile honors the final stretch of the battle, when a group of Rangers and Delta Force operators had to run on foot out of the city, using armored personnel carriers as cover.
