Urasoe Police Chief Misao Sunabe presents U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Logan Belanger a letter of appreciation at the Urasoe Police Station in Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 27, 2023. The Marines were recognized for rendering first aid to Okinawan citizens following a motor vehicle accident. Belanger, a native of Gilroy, California is a ground electronics transmission systems maintainer with 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion and is currently forward deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 4th Marines, 3d Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployment Program.
