Boston (Sept. 20, 2023) – Jim Smith, communications director, and Lt. Sophia Costas, Master in Public Policy candidate, lead Sailors assigned to the aircraft carrier, Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) John F. Kennedy (CVN 79), on a tour of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, during a trip to the Boston area. John F. Kennedy's annual namesake visit enhances the public's awareness of the U.S. Navy and builds a strong connection with the hometown of the ship's namesake. John F. Kennedy is the second Ford-class aircraft carrier and is under construction at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division in Newport News, Virginia.
