Bulgarian Land Forces soldiers with the 101st Alpine Regiment begin the Rhodope 23 opening ceremony, Sep. 11, 2023, near Smolyan, Bulgaria. The opening ceremony included soldiers participating in the exercise from the United States, Bulgaria, Italy and the Czech Republic. Rhodope 23 is an exercise that allows 10th Mountain Division Soldiers to build upon Alpine tactical operations alongside our NATO allies and partners, providing combat-credible forces for increased interoperability.
