U.S. Army V Corps Soldiers watch as Polish Land Forces soldiers return the colors after Catholic Mass at the Field Cathedral of the Polish Army in Warsaw, Poland, Aug. 28, 2023. The ceremony, which recognized the 10th Anniversary of the heroic actions and sacrifice of Staff Sgt. Michael Ollis, was attended by U.S. Army Soldiers from 10th Mountain Division, U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from 353rd Civil Affairs Command, Polish representatives and uniformed students from the Staff Sgt. M. Ollis Junior Training Corps. In 2013, while deployed to Afghanistan, Ollis sacrificed his own life to save the life of a Polish Army officer, Lt. Karol Cierpica. (U.S. Army photo by Spc.
