Lt. Col. Kira Coffey, 36th Airlift Squadron commander, presents a memorial patch to Lt. Gen. Ricky Rupp, U.S. Forces Japan and Fifth Air Force commander, at Yokota Air Base, Japan, after he reached an aviation milestone of 5,000 flight hours, Aug. 22, 2023. Rupp acquired this rare feat in various aircraft, including the C-130, C-17 and T-38 throughout various operations to include Desert Shield, Provide Promise, Allied Force, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
