U.S. Army Spc. Gisselle Acosta, Fox Company, 427th Brigade Support Battalion, New York National Guard works in a Containerized Kitchen (CK) during Northern Strike 2023 on Camp Grayling, Michigan, Aug. 10, 2023. CKs are mobile kitchens that can be set up like a pop-up camper to serve three hot meals per day for up to 800 Soldiers in a forward deployed environment. Northern Strike is one of the National Guard’s largest joint, readiness producing exercises, held annually at Michigan’s National All-Domain Warfighting Center, which consists of Camp Grayling, the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, the Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, the Selfridge Air National Guard Base and other training areas. It is designed to challenge the training audience in many ways, including contested sustainment/logistics. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Alan Prince)
