IONIAN SEA (July 19, 2023) An MH-60R Seahawk helicopter from Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 79, Detachment 2, which is embarked on the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Ignatius (DDG 117), takes off from the ship’s flight deck, July 19, 2023. Ignatius is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by the U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
