The Hon. Ravi Chaudhary, assistant secretary of the Air Force for Energy, Installations and Environment, receives a runway extension brief from Dr. Mark Prieksat, the 673d Civil Engineer Group deputy commander, during a visit at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, June 7, 2023. In his position, Chaudhary is responsible for the formulation, review and execution of plans, policies, programs, and budgets to meet Air Force energy, installations, environment, safety, and occupational health objectives. During his visit, he visited the runway extension construction site, received a quality-of-life tour, a walkthrough of dorms and had a meeting with housing personnel.
