U.S. Army Col. Macalintal gave a remembrance speech during a ceremony honoring paratroopers killed on D-Day in Hémevez, France on June 3, 2023. The 82nd Airborne Division has approximately 140 Paratroopers participating in 30 D-Day 79 commemoration events and activities to honor the sacrifices made by Paratroopers and Allied forces servicemembers to liberate France from Nazi tyranny during Operation Overlord in June 1944.
