An outdoor community event is taking place beneath a highway overpass interchange, featuring a large colorful mural of a Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Catrina skull figure painted on a concrete support column. Attendees are gathered around vendor tables draped with Mexican-style blankets and tablecloths, with vintage cars visible in the background. The event appears to be a cultural celebration, likely a Día de los Muertos festival, set in what appears to be a southwestern U.S. city based on the desert mountain backdrop.

A new mural by artist Gabriel S. Gaytan was presented underneath Interstate 10 during Dia de los muertos or Day of the Dead celebration at Lincoln Park Nov. 4, 2012. The Day of the Dead celebration helped the El Paso community gather to celebrate and honor deceased family members. The outdoor event included food, music, artist booths, and decorated altars that were set up to remember their loved ones with lights, traditional skulls, food offerings and framed photographs.
