U.S. Marines assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron on Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point participate as the color guard during a relief and appointment ceremony on MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, May 23, 2023. The historic post and relief ceremony is a time-honored tradition within the U.S. Marine Corps. The ceremony serves as the official changeover between Sergeants Major, honoring the outgoing Sgt.
