Two U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 11th Airborne Division, “Arctic Angels,” descend after jumping from a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve KC-130J Hercules assigned to the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 234 (VMGR-234), Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas, at Malemute Drop Zone, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, May 24, 2023, in honor of Spartan Memorial Week. Paratroopers carried the nametapes of 77 fallen paratroopers who made the ultimate sacrifice during deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq.
