U.S. Marines with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), load gym equipment to transport to Meyuns Athletic Complex on Koror, Republic of Palau, May 10, 2023. The Marines conduct community relations events with the Palauan public to enhance relationships with strategic partners. The Wright-class aviation logistics ship SS Curtiss (T-AVB-4), with MALS-16 embarked, is deployed in support of Immortal Warrior 23, an exercise which activates the Military Sealift Command ship to provide expeditionary intermediate-level aircraft maintenance and supply for U.S. and potentially Ally and Partner forces.
