U.S. Marines stage trash bags and gloves in preparation for a clean-up community relations event at Meyuns Elementary School on Koror, Republic of Palau, May 10, 2023. The Marines with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), conduct community relations events with the Palauan public to enhance relationships with strategic partners. The Wright-class aviation logistics ship SS Curtiss (T-AVB-4), with MALS-16 embarked, is deployed in support of Immortal Warrior 23, an exercise which activates the Military Sealift Command ship to provide expeditionary intermediate-level aircraft maintenance and supply for U.S. and potentially Ally and Partner forces.
