Willis McHenry from NMRLC’s Design Directorate, took on the significant role of describing the functions in the Role III Theater Hospitalization Capability and outfitted shelters in NMRLC EDAC area. The EXMEDs deploy as medical facilities capable of performing level III medical care in designated non-combat zones. Role III medical care is defined as clinical care normally found in a facility that is typically located in a reduced-level enemy threat environment, has equipment and staffing to provide resuscitation, initial wound surgery, and postoperative treatment.
