U.S. Air Force Maj. Joshua “Cabo” Gunderson, former F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team commander, activates the afterburner on the F-22
Raptor at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, April 10, 2023. This was Cabo’s ‘fini flight’, marking his departure from the Demo Team after leading it for the 2020-2022 air show seasons and was his final flight, piloting an Air Force aircraft. A final flight, commonly known throughout the Air Force aviation world as a ‘fini flight’, is an Air Force tradition marking pilots' departure from a unit, or the last time they fly their specified aircraft.
