Iva Sonnenfeld, the Gold Star spouse of Sgt. 1st Class Jason Sonnenfeld attended the Gold Star spouse lunch Apr 5, 2023, on Fort Drum, NY. Assigned as a career counselor at the 3/85th Infantry Battalion Sgt. 1st Class Sonnenfeld was thoroughly decorated for his service. The Army is indebted to Gold Star spouses as they are the legacies remain integrated in addressing the concerns of surviving spouses. The Chief of Staff of the Army meets regularly with the Army Survivor Advisory Working Group to ensure Army leaders remain integrated in addressing the concerns of surviving spouses.
