YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 31, 2023) – Command Master Chief Damien Pulvino salutes during morning colors aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), March 31, 2023. Blue Ridge’s chief petty officers observed morning colors in celebration of the 130th birthday of the rank of chief petty officer. CPO rank was first established on April 1, 1893. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, routinely interacts and operates with Allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
