IKSAN, Korea – Green Berets with 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) and soldiers with Republic of Korea Army 7th Special Forces Brigade (Airborne) conduct a village raid exercise on March 17, 2023. This training is a part of Freedom Shield, a combined exercise which enhances the combat readiness of both units, strengthening security and stability on the Korean peninsula and across Northeast Asia. Freedom Shield is a defense-oriented exercise that strengthens the ROK-U.S. Alliance and enhances our combined defensive posture. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
