IKSAN, Korea – Soldiers with 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) and Republic of Korea Army 7th Special Forces Brigade (Airborne) board a chinook during an airborne operation, March 05, 2023. This training will enhance the combat readiness of both units, strengthening the security and stability on the Korean peninsula and across Northeast Asia. The operation is part of Freedom Shield, a defense-oriented exercise that strengthens the ROK-U.S. Alliance, security and stability on the Korean peninsula, and enhances our combined defensive posture.
