GREAT LAKES, Ill. (Feb. 24, 2023) Cmdr. Ervin Henley, commanding officer, Surface Warfare Engineering School Command Great Lakes, gives a speech enforcing the Department of Defense annual theme “Inspiring Change” during the command diversity committee Black History Month presentation. The theme celebrates the contributions of African Americans to overcoming racial inequities and promoting opportunities for equal advancement within the Black community. The U.S. Navy remains committed to strategically broadening and diversifying its talent pipelines through outreach and leveraging other talent management programs and policies to advance opportunities for all.
