U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Camron Reiffer, a Richmond, Virginia Native, and Lance Cpl. Sebastian Cruz, a Hampton, Georgia native, both machine gunners with Battalion Landing Team 1/6, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), disassemble and clean their M240B machine guns before conducting a raid rehearsal on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Feb. 4, 2023. The motorized infantry raid was the culminating event for MEU EX II, following Amphibious Squadron/Marine Expeditionary Unit Integration Training (PMINT). The amphibious raid integrated multiple elements of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force with live-fire events and showcased the MEU’s ability to conduct ship-to-shore maneuver and secure a beach landing site.
