SINGAPORE (Jan. 30, 2023) Sailors assigned to Independence-class littoral combat ship USS Oakland (LCS 24) prepare to secure an 11-meter rigid-hull inflatable boat to floats during twin boom extendable crane (TBEC) operations aboard Oakland at Changi Naval Base, Singapore, Jan. 30, 2023. Oakland, part of Destroyer Squadron 7, is on a rotational deployment operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operation to enhance interoperability with Allies and partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
