U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Kai Gamble, the air officer of Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conducts a rehearsal of concepts walk for a helicopter raid aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA-6) in the Philippine Sea, Jan. 30, 2023. The ROC walk was performed to review the roles and responsibilities of all the units participating in the helicopter raid. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
