U.S. Marines with 2nd Marine Division and U.S. Sailors with U.S. Second Fleet conduct beach landings as part of exercise AMPHEX 2023 at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Virginia, Jan. 28, 2023. Exercise AMPHEX is a joint exercise that demonstrated littoral interoperability and increased proficiency in operational maneuvers; including familiarization with U.S. Navy landing craft air cushion (LCAC) and landing craft utility (LCU), amphibious beach landings, air-assault drills, and combined live-fire training.
