U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptors from the 199th and 19th Fighter Squadron conduct a combat training sortie during exercise PACIFIC EDGE 23 December 8, 2022, near the coast of Oahu, Hawaii. The training event marks the second iteration of Pacific Edge, which included a variety of fourth and fifth generation aircraft and command and control aircraft from the Royal Australian Air Force. Pilots from the 199th Fighter Squadron and the 19th Fighter Squadrons operate F-22s together under the Air National Guard-led active-associate construct to accomplish their total-force mission.
