A ceremonial wreath rests at the gravesite of President Herbert Hoover Oct. 22, 2022, at the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site in West Branch, Iowa. The house Hoover lived in can be seen from the gravesite through the wreath. Brig. Gen. Steven Kremer, assistant adjutant general, was invited to present the wreath during a ceremony honoring the 58-year anniversary of the passing of the president, who passed away Oct. 20, 1964. The annual ceremony was recognized by the West Branch community and Hoover’s great granddaughter, Leslie Hoover Lauble. This was the first time in two years this event was held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Rachel I. White)
