Light receives the command pin from his wife during the “Providers” of Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VRC) 30 change of command ceremony onboard Naval Air Station North Island, Nov. 10, 2022. During the change of command ceremony, Cmdr. James J. Light, a native of Glenville, New York, relieved Cmdr. Jessica E. Caldwell, a native of Chesterland, Ohio as the commanding officer of VRC-30. VRC-30 is one of only two carrier-qualified logistics support squadrons, providing supplies, personnel, and logistics support to Carrier Strike Group 5.
