A student performs in front of her class in Oudja, Morocco, in September 2022. USAID/Morocco and DAR America Casablanca visited the primary school in Oujda. The school is one of 90 experimental schools that has participated in the National Program for Reading, a collaboration between USAID and the Moroccan Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports. Even though NPR ended in October 2022, Director of the Oriental Regional Academy of Education and Training Mohamed Dib said that it will have a lasting positive impact on students' learning outcomes, as the program has invested in building the capacity of local teachers and administrators, in addition to reforming Arabic language curricula, pedagogy and assessments.
