In 2020, Chaima’s family moved from their home in Ceuta, Spain, to Fnideq, Morocco. Having lived in Spain, she never learned Arabic and was afraid she might fall behind in her first year of school in Morocco. Through the USAID-funded FORSATY education program, Chaima improved her Arabic, completed her school year, and was selected to play on the Tamuda women’s soccer team! Chaima is one of the 2,011 students, including 1,035 female students, who have benefitted from FORSATY’s education and extracurricular programs in Morocco. Credit: USAID/Morocco
