A U.S. Army Special Forces soldier wearing ACU (Army Combat Uniform) and a stethoscope is providing medical assistance or distributing medication to a civilian man. The soldier appears to be examining or handing over items from a box containing what appear to be medical supplies or medications. The setting appears to be an improvised medical aid station in a building, consistent with a humanitarian or civil affairs mission.

Detroit, Mich., native Capt. R. Dale Jackson, battalion surgeon, with the 1st Brigade, 143rd Field Artillery Regiment, wraps gauze around a man's hand who lost a couple fingers after an accident at work. The man took the opportunity to be seen by medical personnel during a combined medical engagement operation Jan. 25 at the Falahat girls school. This mission focused on providing care for Iraqis in a neglected area and training the Iraqi army medics to conduct their own medical missions in the future.
