U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Japan Engineer District (USACE JED) Program and Project Management Division (PPMD) Branch Chief Andrew Wright, provides an overview of past and future contracting projects at the Society of Military Engineers (SAME) forum, held in Tokyo, Japan, October 18, 2022. Wright spoke about JED’s largest fiscal year to date, and how further projects in the planning stages are set to provide military installations with quality-of-life upgrades to the units and personnel assigned to bases throughout Japan. Founded in 1920, the Society unites public and private sector individuals and organizations from across the architecture, engineering, construction, environmental and facility management, cyber security, project planning, contracting and acquisition, and related disciplines in support of national security.
