U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Bradford J. Gering, commanding general of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, gives the American flag to Mrs. Hoar during the funeral of U.S. Marine Corps Gen. Joseph P. Hoar (retired) at Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, California, Oct. 7, 2022. Gen. Hoar retired after 37 honorable years of service in 1994.
