Members of the Defense Science Study Group receive a brief from a U.S. Marine with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing on the capabilities of the MV-22B Osprey and CH-53E Super Stallion, at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina Sept.19, 2022. During their visit, the members received a tour of various subordinate II MEF units to gain a better understanding of Marine Corps organization, capabilities and operations. Members of the DSSG include science and engineering academia from across the United States, and is a program funded by Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and directed by the non-profit, Institute for Defense Analyses.
