220825-N-GX935-9346 VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Aug. 25, 2022). Prospective commanding officer, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training and Evaluation Unit (EODTEU) 2, Cmdr. Paul Mahoney; Cmdr. Douglas Alley, commander, EODTEU 2; and Capt. Chuck Eckhart, commodore, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group (EODGRU) 2, render salutes as they await the color guard to post the colors and begin their change of command ceremony. Under the direction of commander, EODGRU 2, EODTEU 2 oversees training for all East Coast based EOD and Mobile Diving and Salvage units, as well as EOD Mobile Unit (EODMU) 8, based in Rota, Spain.
