The Multifunctional Automated Repair System (MARS) robot designed and built by members of The Pennsylvania State University Applied Research Lab tackles corrosion on the deckplate of the Self Defense Test Ship, with assistance from a laser ablation tool from SurClean Inc., during the Repair Technology Exercise on Aug. 24 at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD).
