The Michigan National Guard and Latvia have a 29-year security cooperation under the National Guard Bureau's State Partnership Program. Facilities such as the Carmeuse Calcite Quarry have partnered with the National All-Domain Warfighting Center, which includes Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center and Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center to expand opportunities for readiness training for the joint force and allies.
