Vice Adm. Kenneth Whitesell, commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) presented the Trailblazer award to Rear Adm. (Ret.) Larry Chambers for his commitment to breaking down barriers, increasing access and providing new opportunities for all people. Whitesell also spoke about how the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen lives on through the CNAF Flight Academy program, which exposes diverse 11th and 12th graders to Naval Aviation and provides them a no-cost opportunity to earn a private pilot’s license and earn five college credits.
