Vice Adm. Kenneth Whitesell, commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) poses with Rear Adm. (Ret.) Larry Chambers at the fifth annual Tuskegee Next Red Tail Ball in West Chicago, Illinois, August 13. Whitesell presented the Trailblazer award to Chambers for his commitment to breaking down barriers, increasing access and providing new opportunities for all people. Whitesell also spoke about how the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen lives on through the CNAF Flight Academy program, which exposes diverse 11th and 12th graders to Naval Aviation and provides them a no-cost opportunity to earn a private pilot’s license and earn five college credits.
