Kemaris Hunt, one of the 8th Infantry Illinois National Guard Association Scholarship recipients, speaks with Col. (ret.) Maurice Rochelle, the Director of the Lincoln's ChalleNGe Academy, and Brig. Rodney Boyd, the Assistant Adjutant General - Army for the Illinois National Guard and Commander of the Illinois Army National Guard, following a presentation ceremony for the scholarships Aug. 13, 2022. The scholarship presentation coincided with the annual Bud Billiken Parade, held since 1929 in Chicago. Hunt graduated from the Illinois National Guard-administered Lincoln's ChalleNGe Academy in June.
