Hackensack Police Department Det. Felix Katsaroans observes class participants of the Hackensack P.D. Youth Academy as they are being directed to the next demonstration outside the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Police Headquarters on Joint Base MDL, Aug. 10, 2022. As one of the class instructors, Katsoroans volunteered to be a part of the event as a way to continuously build a strong relationship between the police department, the residents of New Jersey and the joint base community. The Hackensack P.D. Youth Academy is a weeklong event that provides seventh to twelfth grade class participants the opportunity to learn about the experiences inside the military and police force.
