Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst

Class participants from the Hackensack Police Department Youth Academy came to visit Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst on August 10th. The Hackensack P.D. Youth Academy is a weeklong event that provides seventh to twelfth grade class participants the opportunity to learn about the experiences inside the military and police force. This event consists of showing demonstrations of various military drills, physical training exercises, and K-9 training and handling. Hackensack P.D. Det. Felix Katsaroans, Youth Academy class instructor, saw this event as a means to continuously strengthen the relationship between the police department, the residents of New Jersey and the joint base community.
