Gen. Stephen Townsend, outgoing commander, U.S. Africa Command, is presented by Second Lt Jacob Wakeley, United States Army Europe and Africa salute battery with the final shell casing fired by the unit during his command.
Townsend relinquished his command to U.S. Marine Corps, Gen. Michael E. Langley, in a ceremony at Kelley Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany, on Aug. 9.
