Dr. Burton Suedel, a research biologist at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) and ERDC University (ERDC-U) mentor, visits a sediment placement site previously used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Chicago District for placing navigational dredging material for shoreline stabilization and other eco-restoration sites nearby.
