NORFOLK (July 19,2022) – Interior Communications Electrician 3rd Class Timothy Coleman conducts maintenance on a shorting probe aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), July 19, 2022. A shorting probe is used to remove leftover electricity, which deenergizes circuits and systems ensuring the safety of the personnel who operate the equipment.
